  Who are the lotus
  eaters?
Who or what are lotus eaters? Antiquity has it they were a people who ate the lotus fruit, a mythical fruit known for its power to make men forget their past once consumed. In time, the phrase has evolved to signify people who leave home to live in indolent enjoyment and to forget about their pasts... though save for the indolence, it almost works. This series covers those special breed of Asians, lotus eaters who seek the promise land in Silicon Valley, in search of a lotus life.

Miko Matsumura may have left his position as Java evangelist for Sun Microsystems but he's still singing the same mantra. The new spin on the "network is the computer" is the "Net is the application".
